We strive to fulfill this mission through after-school programs, summer camps, two schools, experiential learning, job training, and a host of other programs that challenge youth to develop and realize their potential.

  • CDF provides a strong, effective and independent voice for all the children of America who cannot vote, lobby or speak for themselves. We pay particular attention to the needs of poor children, children of color and those with disabilities. CDF educates the nation about the needs of children and encourages preventive investments before they get sick, drop out of school, get into trouble or suffer family breakdown.

  • Ending multigenerational poverty. The first priority is to address basic needs including healthy food, affordable housing, and access to medical and dental care. Once a family has basic stability, they can begin to plan for and engage in education and training for employment opportunities, build language skills, and secure quality early education and out-of-school time supports for their children.
